(Very similar to the desert Halflings, this extremely harsh environment has dulled some of their senses and abilities, while toughened them to the cold of the arctic tundra.)

Favored Class: Ranger (Same argument as the Desert Nomads.)

The few Halfling families that ventured to the northeast came across the tundra and snow of the frozen lands. Like the desert families these Halfling families have learned to thrive among the sparse resources of their chosen land. The nomadic patterns of these families are often quite different then any others because they follow the migratory patterns of whatever animal their particular family has chosen. In many ways these families are the most connected, as each family specializes in a certain resource, and they trade often with each other for the resources they do not have access to. These trading meetings can last weeks, or even months as families come and go with whatever they have to sell. In fact, o­ne town has developed as a permanent trading outpost, the occupants of this town change from month to month as families come and go. Products offered for trade are as varied as the families that bring them in. Fur, meat, fat, arctic vegetables, anything that a family has chosen to focus o­n can be traded with the other families. A few families have even learned how to create strong spirits in the arctic cold, burying the drink beneath the ground to ferment, and digging it up later when they pass through that land again. The arctic clans have developed trading as their most important custom, and anyone attempting to get something for nothing will find themselves isolated in the harsh, arctic tundra.
