Difficult Server / Quest Item Reset Timer

Is there a timer or schedule for server resets? I enjoy playing on the difficult server. However, there are certain items that only spawn once per reset. Because of this some quests can only be done one time. It becomes a first come first serve basis for many quests. In one such instance a friend and I traveled down a mine in search of a black dragon scale. He was able to pick it up, but when we turned it in he received the gold, item, and XP for completing the quest. I however received the cold shoulder from the NPC. Just wondering if anything is in place for resets. I don't mind adventuring out again if it means the quest item will be there.

There are no standard resets. We will reset if the module becomes buggy, the database gets disconnected, or some other trouble, generally. Since Diff was always the "event" server, it was rarely ever reset, historically. I can reset, once I see nobody is online.
