Need help setting up mysql 5.7

it's asking for the root password in the installation wizard, and I can't find it. Does anyone know the default root password for mysql 5.7?

In the setup program it said the password can be found in the server configuration, but I can't find that.

Victory! of sorts. I gave p on 5.7, and instead installed 5.6. Now I just need to figure that out. Been a while since I've done any db stuff, and my son wants me to teach him.
