Richterm's Retreat Nordock

Say I'm a cleric with some paladin levels, I use a holy avenger sword. I debuff the crap out of my opponent before going in to fight them in hand to hand combat. Will Holy Avenger strip all of my delicious debuffs from my target?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Not definite, but think dispelling is dispelling. Willing to test it out sometime in the arena if you like.
